About Ben & Photography

When did you first pick up a camera?

I started shooting when I was in high school. I use to work after school and during summer vacations at Walgreens back in New York. I was a stock boy and a cashier. They would eventually put me in the photo lab.  After processing people’s 35mm film for eight hours everyday,  I was hooked. I would later use one of my minimum wage paychecks to buy a Kodak point and shoot camera. That camera was actually pretty hi-tech at the time. It had those old APS films, in which you could select different formats, compared to the even older 35mm film.
